General InformationThe Lake View Community Association will award two (2) scholarships each year to a high school senior who will be attending college in the fall. Criterion for this scholarship shall be the applicant's contributions to our community, citizenship, and attitude, not on their average or class rank.
The amount of the award is $500. It will be paid in four payments of $125 per semester. The winner must start attending college in September in order to receive the first installment. The winners are responsible for submitting verification of their enrollment at an institution of higher education. If the winner cannot verify enrollment, the alternate, if attending college, will receive the scholarship.

GUIDELINES

The Lake View Community Association will award two (2) scholarships each year to a high
school senior who will be attending college in the fall. Criterion for this scholarship shall be
the applicant’s contributions to our community, citizenship, and attitude, not on their average
or class rank.
Two winners and one alternate shall be chosen each year. The Selection Committee
will consist of 3 active members of the LVCA as appointed by its officers. The student’s
names or parents’ names will not be on the part of the application that the Selection
Committee sees. Applications are to be mailed directly to the LVCA. An officer who is not
part of the Selection Committee will ensure that a blind review of the applicants takes place.

Parent(s) of the applicant must reside in Lake View or be a member of the Lake View
Community Association. The student receiving the scholarship must be registered for a fulltime program at any institution of higher learning.
The winner will be notified by a member of the scholarship committee prior to
Memorial Day. Presentation of the award will be at the Lake View Memorial Day Parade.
